Who is karishollis.com For?
Put quite simply, this blog is for all of the people out there who are NOT living their best lives – but want to!
It seems like everywhere I look, there’s another woman out there who feels overwhelmed and exhausted. I’m certainly no exception! I’m a recovering perfectionist, and I regularly suffer from “analysis paralysis” – when I can’t figure out where to start, it’s soooo much easier for me to sit and do nothing at all than it is for me to chunk away at my to-do list, one small item at a time. I homeschool my four kids, keep the house and laundry reasonably clean-ish, take care of the animals (one giant dog and two cats), and make 2,396 snacks and meals per day. Add that to my work schedule (besides this blog, I also work 2 days a week at a local hybrid school for homeschoolers that my kiddos attend)… I’m spinning plates, trying to keep them all from crashing to the ground! I used to look at my life and wonder, “Is this really it?”
After many years of learning through books, blog posts, and personal experience, I’ve figured out that we don’t have to live this way. There are many ways to manage the chaos of everyday life, and I’m here to share what I know with you. So many people are struggling, and there just hasn’t been a solid resource to help them get things done and still have time to do things for yourself – dates with your significant other, drinks with friends, or solo time to just *be*. Until now – I decided to build the resource that I’ve been needing for almost my entire adult life.
Who I want to serve: Any person (man, woman, parent, single, married, whatever) who needs help figuring out life – setting priorities, managing time, developing a more positive mindset, etc. Realistically speaking, though, this blog will primarily appeal to busy moms who have elementary and middle school kids, because that’s who I am. I’m not likely to be able to help you prioritize tasks at the office so that you can get home to your kiddos sooner; however, if that’s what you’re looking for, I can most definitely guide you in the right direction. I AM able to help you fit in your kids’ activities, housekeeping, meal planning and prep, and your side hustle, among other things!
Why I want to serve you: I believe that each person has a unique set of gifts to give to the world. Unfortunately, most of our gifts are getting buried in the overwhelm of our everyday lives. I want our world, the world that our children will someday inherit, to be a happier place. I don’t think we can be a happier human race if we can’t get our lives under control and live based on our priorities, not our obligations. I want to do my part to help others become their best selves, and I figure that a blog (and hopefully some fun printables and courses down the road) is the quickest and simplest way to impact the largest number of people.
How I will serve you: I’m a “find a need and fill it” kind of person – content to stay behind the scenes, but anticipating the needs of others before they arise and getting things done for them. I plan to use that particular skill set to help you live a more productive and fulfilling life by providing practical parenting tips, recipes for quick and easy dinners, and daily inspiration, among many other things!
I’m so excited to start sharing with you!
